PRICING, WITHOUT THE AMBUSH
What landscape lighting costs in Naples
Here's the truth about every landscape lighting cost guide on the internet: the averages are made from projects that aren't yours. A front walkway in Golden Gate and a waterfront estate in Port Royal have nothing in common except the word "lighting."
So we built something better than a price list. The free Spectrum Design Studio prices your actual home: upload a photo, place lights on it, and the installed cost of what you've drawn stays on screen the whole time. Design bigger, it goes up. Take a fixture away, it comes down. Your number, live, in about two minutes, before anyone stands in your driveway.
The five things that actually move the price
1
Fixture count
The single biggest factor. A front elevation might use eight fixtures; a full estate with pool cage, dock, and canopy trees can use sixty or more. Each fixture in the Spectrum Design Studio carries its full installed cost, so the total you see already includes the transformer, wire, connectors, labor, and the nighttime aiming session.
2
What you're lighting
A royal palm needs a different fixture than a paver walkway, and a two-story facade needs more output than a garden bed. Uplights, well lights, path lights, and downlights each price differently, which is why two homes with the same fixture count can land in different places.
3
Fixture series
Every design can be built in our Good series or Premium series at the same layout and fixture count. The difference is the fixture in the ground and its warranty, not the design. Color-changing systems that do warm white every night and scenes on holidays sit above both.
4
Hardscape and structure
Running wire under an existing paver driveway means core drilling or lift-and-reset work. Dock and seawall lighting uses marine-grade hardware. Established landscaping, long wire runs, and multiple zones each add real labor that a per-fixture guess from a national cost site will not capture.
5
Phasing
Most of our clients don't build everything at once. Design the whole property, then build the front elevation this year and the pool cage next year. The wire runs get laid for all of it on day one so nothing is dug up twice, and each phase has its own number before you commit to it.
Straight answers about landscape lighting cost
How much does landscape lighting cost in Naples, Florida?
It depends on fixture count, what is being lit, fixture series, and site conditions more than on any average. That is why Spectrum Nightscapes publishes no price list: instead, the free Spectrum Design Studio lets you upload a photo of your own home, place lights on it, and watch the installed price update live as you design. You see your real number in about two minutes, before anyone visits your home.
Why doesn't Spectrum Nightscapes publish a price list?
Because averages mislead in both directions. A published range either scares off someone whose project is small or anchors someone whose estate needs far more. The Spectrum Design Studio replaces the price list: it prices your actual design on your actual home, live, for free, with no appointment.
What is included in the installed price of a landscape lighting fixture?
At Spectrum Nightscapes the per-fixture price shown in the Design Studio is all-in: the fixture, a correctly sized transformer, direct-burial wire, weather-sealed connections, labor, and a nighttime aiming session where every beam is adjusted after dark. There are no separate line items for parts.
Can I do part of the project now and the rest later?
Yes, and most clients do. Design the whole property once, then build it in phases: front elevation first, pool cage or dock later. The wire runs are laid for the full design on day one so later phases never dig up finished work, and each phase carries its own price in the Design Studio before you commit.
Does landscape lighting cost more on waterfront properties?
Usually, for two honest reasons: marine-grade fixtures and hardware that survive salt air, and dock or seawall work that takes more labor than a garden bed. Dock lighting is typically green or blue underwater, and coastal work in Southwest Florida is designed around turtle-season lighting requirements.
What does landscape lighting maintenance cost in Naples?
Spectrum Nightscapes posts its maintenance pricing publicly. Annual Care (one comprehensive visit per year) is $22.50 per fixture per year, and Twice-Yearly Care (two visits timed around Florida's growing season) is $30 per fixture per year, with volume discounts up to 30% on larger systems. A typical 10-fixture home runs about $18.75 a month on Annual Care or $25 a month on Twice-Yearly Care. Every visit includes cleaning, re-aiming, lamp replacement, timer checks, wiring inspection, and a written condition report.
Is a cheap fixture worth it?
A fixture is a metal box that lives outside in Florida weather, gets hit by mowers, and runs every night. Spectrum installs solid brass fixtures with a lifetime housing warranty in every series; the difference between series is the light source and its warranty, not build quality. The most expensive system is the one installed twice.
